1. Prepare your iPhone
Update your iPhone: Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS, which should be iOS 18 or later for the Apple Watch Series 10. You can check for updates in Settings > General > Software Update.
Enable Bluetooth and connect to Wi-Fi/cellular: Open Control Center and confirm that Bluetooth is on and you’re connected to Wi-Fi or cellular.
Keep devices close: Keep your iPhone and Apple Watch close together during the process.
2. Initiate pairing
Turn on your Apple Watch: Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
Start pairing: Hold your iPhone near your Apple Watch. A pairing screen should pop up; tap Continue. If it doesn’t appear, open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to All Watches, and tap Add Watch.
Position your iPhone: Align your iPhone so your Apple Watch is in the Watch app’s viewfinder for automatic pairing. If needed, tap Pair Apple Watch Manually and follow instructions
3. Set up your Apple Watch
Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Apple Watch. If you’re setting up a new Apple Watch with your current iPhone, you can choose to restore from a backup or set it up as new.
Sign in to your Apple Account when prompted or do it later in the Watch app.
You can create a passcode, which is needed for features like Apple Pay.
Customize settings such as text size, health information, and notifications.
Set up cellular service and Apple Pay (optional) if you have a cellular model.
